Kim Kardashian isn’t quite ready to return to the dating world, but she knows precisely what she wants when the time comes.
The 42-year-old reality star opened up about dating again and what it would involve when she finds the perfect person on Thursday’s episode of The Kardashians. Fans may recall that Kim’s previous relationship with Pete Davidson ended in August 2022. She dated the comedian, who was 13 years her junior, for nine months before splitting up.

Kim Kardashian addressed their notion that “cute guys” would show up at the sporting event while conversing with her friends in London before attending an Arsenal F.C. game with their sons on Thursday’s program.
“Why are you staring at me?” “I have age restrictions, guys,” she stressed. “I just need something a little more age appropriate.” “I’m looking for [someone in their] forties.”
Kim revealed in a confessional that her friends were trying to hook her up with someone and that she doesn’t feel the urge to date right now.
“When you’re single and all your friends are married, it’s like you have desperation on your face and everyone under the sun wants to hook you up with someone,” she told me. “I’m genuinely just okay with being by myself for a minute and the right situation will come my way.”
Kim Kardashian was previously married to music producer Damon Thomas, 52, and NBA player Kris Humphries, 38, and had multiple romances before to dating Pete, including a three-year romance with former NFL star Reggie Bush, 38, and marriages to music producer Damon Thomas, 52, and NBA player Kris Humphries, 38.
She also went through a contentious divorce fight with ex-husband Kanye West, with whom she filed for divorce after six years of marriage in February 2021. The former couple, who have children North, 10, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4, divorced in November 2022.

Kim Kardashian began dating Pete, 29, after her breakup with the 46-year-old rapper, in the fall of 2021, following her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live. As Kim and Pete’s relationship blossomed, Kanye launched multiple online and press attacks on the couple, notably in a video for his track “Eazy,” in which the rapper abducted, tied up, and buried a claymation version of Pete.
After nine months of dating, the couple decided to call it quits in August 2022. Kim stated on The Kardashians’ season 3 opener that she felt “a lot of guilt” following their split since Pete “went through a lot because of my relationship [with Kanye].”
A source recently informed PEOPLE that Kim, 30, was “hanging out” with NFL player Odell Beckham Jr.
Despite the many ups and downs of her dating life, Kim stated on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast in May 2023 that she was hopeful that she will find love again someday.
“I think I’ll always be a hopeless romantic and always want to be in love and definitely love sharing my life with someone, and love creating a life with someone,” she went on to say. “I will absolutely take my time. And I believe there are other aspects, particularly when you have children and are careful of the individuals who enter your life.”
In a season 3 episode of The Kardashians, she made similar remarks about finding love again.
“I go back and forth in my feelings sometimes, like, who’s ever gonna wanna date me?” She confessed in a confessional. “I have four kids, I’m in my 40s… who wants to deal with the drams?” But my guy will say, ‘F— all that. It’ll be difficult, but we’re in this together, and we’ll get through it.’ So I’m just waiting for that guy.”
